Day was spent in the garden - weeding, mowing, strimming and general tidying.

Bank holiday weekend

Glorious sunny day on Saturday and I spent the morning taking more rendering off. It is coming along really well. See here for the latest.

Fairly quiet on the apartment front. Heard back from estate agent - the vendors don't want to sell the bed and bedroom furniture. Currently thinking of buying a bed here and taking it over.

Bluetooth speakers

Bought some bluetooth speakers from Orange shop in Cribbs, for the apartment. They are great and were only £27 (on sale plus I got discount). More details here.

Mums birthday

Mum's birthday today. They are in Australia at the Gold Coast, staying at Swell Beach Resort. I phoned in the evening and spoke with them. They have been going out with Lenore. Weather not so good.

Jayne & George back from Scotland

Jayne & George spent the week in Scotland with Marion, Graham & William in their cottage. They drove back today - great to see them again.

Went to new Pizza restaurant in Bath with Jeff. Has a wood-fired oven. Pizza was OK - they need to do more with the toppings.

Most evenings this week were spend stripping and cleaning the old Legnano. Got it all back together and it is almost working. Main problem is the gears. Have tried to get the old cassette off the old wheel but it is stuck fast. The cassette that came with the new wheels is a 6 speed racing set (only goes up to 21 - not very good for hills). My changer is 5 speed so I need to sort something out.

Lisa, James & Cicely for dinner

Great weather and Lisa, James & Cicely came around for dinner. Lots of fun with the bubble machine.

Almost gliding and music school

Took George down to her music school - she was there for the week. On the way stopped in at the gliding to see if she could have a go. Unfortunately it would have been too long a wait - next time. Beautiful spot.

Music school was near Fordingbridge south of Salisbury. Went cross country - lovely drive through Shaftesbury, Tollard Royal & Sixpenny Handley - wonderful English names.

Ride around Chew lakes

Can't remember what I did during the day but in the evening I drove down to Chew Valley and cycled around the lakes - lovely. Jayne and George were away - up in London I think.
